Pumpkin Petal Templates

Everywhere you look, you see adorable stuffed pumpkins!  And not just traditional orange pumpkins but pumpkins made in non-traditional, sweet, delicate fabrics with lace doilies or animal print or glammed up colors and fabrics.  Perfect for not only Halloween & Thanksgiving but all year long~

This Template is perfect for all of those~

This petal-shape was made to cut and sew 6 petals together.  But you can also cut 5 petals or 8 petals to change up the shape to make a grouping of different sized pumpkins!

The flat top and smaller flat bottom mean that you’ll have a nice opening at the top for stuffing and a nice finished bottom that doesn’t need additional stitching or the need to add a button or circle to cover up the bottom.

Currently, I have 5 sizes of these 'petal-shaped' templates:

• 2.5" x 5.5"
• 3" x 6"
• 3.5" x 7.25"
• 4.25" x 8.75"
• 5" x 10.25"

Each template, like all of my new templates, has my gray No Slip Backing.  The Backing ‘grabs’ your fabric making cutting faster, easier and much more accurate than any other template!  No Slipping; No Kidding!

There are so many fabrics to choose from: cotton, flannel, plaids & checks, homespun, polar fleece, felt, wool felt, minky, home dec, etc. Raid your closets for recycled clothing and table wear.  Don't forget to look for vintage hankies, doilies, napkins & tablecloths to get that unique look while giving something a second life.

Choose the same fabric for all of the petals or cut each petal from a different fabric.  Or choose 2 fabrics and cut 3 petals from each fabric. Or use 3 fabrics and cut 2 from each.

Stitch up a bunch then hit your crafting closet and get creative!  Stuff it then use your glue gun to add a twig from your yard or a cinnamon stick for a stem.  Stop there or embellish with leaves and moss, ribbon or raffia and all those goodies you’ve got stashed away.  You can even use up that craft felt and make your own stem and leaves!

So many choices make these a good escape from the stress of your day~
