Oven Mitt 'Shorty' Template

This 'Shorty' Oven Mitt is such a fun project!  Make it scrappy or do a Quilt As You Go method or just use whatever fabrics that you love~

It may seem small but it's just the right size to protect your fingers and hand from the hot oven or hot items from the microwave.

But... my favorite use is at my ironing board. I made one to use when I need to press projects in tight spots. When turning a project right sides out, I stick my mitted hand inside the project & iron from the other side without burning my hand. I like to make a fist with my hand & place it at the bottom or sides when pressing.  It works beautifully!

This template features my new gray No Slip Backing which means the cutting will be much easier and more accurate than the traditional method of printing out a paper template and trying to cut your fabrics.  plus, no needs to go looking for the paper template again.

This template works well with a combination of a 28mm rotary cutter, a marking pen and sharp scissors.  If you don't have a 28mm rotary cutter, you can use a 45mm as well but you'll probably need to do a bit more marking and cutting with scissors.
