Now, you've got 2 choices for a Seam Ripper!
I have always struggled with a traditional Seam Ripper as they just aren't thin or sharp enough to get under your stitches & cut easily & quickly.
I found this Surgical Seam Ripper (pink) years ago at the trade shows & fell in love with how sharp & thin the blade is. I've sold a ton of them & most everyone loves them like I do! It comes in a little plastic case for storing. But... it doesn't have a handle & it doesn't have a cover. You can glue popsicle sticks to the blade but there's not much you can do for the cover - except to be careful!
Many of you have asked me for another option & I now have one for you! It's brand new to me so I haven't gotten to play with it long enough to know how it will hold up over time but... at this price, you can't beat it!
Neither of these are your traditional seam rippers so you'll use them a bit differently.
A bit about the Surgical Seam Ripper (pink packaging):
- all in one metal handle with the sharpest edge you'll find!
- best box cutter you'll ever use! If cutting boxes, glue 2 popsicle sticks as a handle to the ripper with Shoe Glue (Wal-Mart shoe department).
- popsicle sticks & Shoe Glue not included.
- clear plastic case for storage.
- no cover for tip.
- not for the clumspy!
A bi about the Blue Seam Ripper:
- plastic cover made to go over blade for safe storage.
- plastic handle has grippers making it easy to hold.
- angled blade designed to easily get under threads.
Both are great for:
- picking, lifting & cutting threads & stitches
- opening stitched buttonholes
- removing buttons
- cutting around designs in fabric
- ripping seams open
- working with cotton, silk, upholstery, blue jeans, etc.
- so much more!
