What makes a Template a Tracing Template?

1.      Tracing Templates are smaller; typically too small to cut with a rotary cutter – but they work well with small, sharp scissors!

2.      They are perfect for scraps and a wide variety of fabrics like       wool, felt, cork, vinyl, and much more!

3.      Template may be thinner like my Fussy Cut Frame or regular thickness. Either way, gray No Slip Backing makes it easy to trace around.

How do I use a Tracing Template?

1.      Decide which side of the fabric you’ll work on – front or back. 

2.      That helps determine the kind of marking tool you’ll use - chalk, pencil, pen, heat-erasable marker, etc.

3.      Place template on fabric and put a little pressure on it as you trace around the template.

4.      Use small, sharp scissors to cut out your shape. 

Optional Fussy Cut Frame: Want to position the template so that you can cut out a particular part of the fabric?  Call me to buy a Fussy Cut Frame for it! Move the Frame around the fabric to see which part you want to cut.  Hold Frame down and place template inside Frame.  Move your fingers to the Template. Remove Frame.  Trace around template then cut.
