Difference between the Tan and the Grey:

• Both 'grab' your fabric
• The tan gets dirty-looking (watch my video to clean)
• The tan seems to lose its grip over time (but it still grabs)
• The grey is a bit thinner meaning you can cut more layers of fabric!

Use your favorite permanent adhesive to adhere the backing to your rulers and templates - permanent spray adhesive, rubber cement. etc.   I recommend testing on a small square first to make sure your glue will be permanent.

1. Place backing material on a flat surface and smooth out any wrinkles.
2. Apply to either side of the tan as it doesn't have a 'wrong side'. 
3. Or apply to the smooth side of the grey backing.
4. Apply to the wrong side of your template or ruler.  
5. Place the template directly on the backing and press down all along the template.
6. Let sit for a few minutes.
7. Use your rotary cutter, exacto knife or even scissors to cut around the template or ruler.
8. Trim off excess with sharp scissors.
9. If you still have excess, use a nail file to file away any excess backing.
